WRP provides a proactive and collaborative framework for senior-policy level Federal, State and Tribal leadership to identify common goals and emerging issues in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah and to develop solutions that support WRP Partners and protect natural and cultural resources, while promoting sustainability, homeland security and military readiness. WRP is Co-Chaired by the Honorable Gary Herbert, Governor of Utah; TBD, Assistant Secretary for Land and Mineral, U.S. DOI; and Mr. Robert McMahon, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment.
The 2019 Western Regional Partnership (WRP) Principals’ Meeting was held on base at Camp Pendleton, CA from November 19-20, 2019. This was the first time in the WRP's history that a Principals' meeting was held on a military installation, and the meeting concluded with an optional tour of Camp Pendelton. The WRP Principals’ Meeting provides an opportunity to learn more about issues impacting the region and to network with other senior-policy level colleagues. Together, WRP Principals will develop strategies and actions for addressing identified issues and priorities over the next year.
