Description

Wednesday, September 26th WRP Natural Resources Committee webinar on 2018 Federal and State water strategies and collaboration. This webinar will run from 10 am to 11:30 am Pacific.

The Western U.S. is one of the fastest growing regions of the country, and the future growth and prosperity of the western states depend upon the availability of adequate quantities of water of suitable quality. 

This webinar will feature two keynote presenters and a panel of water experts for further discussion on the latest efforts, trends and policies at the state and federal level impacting water strategies including efforts to work together as partners. Presenters will highlight current water policies and programs and their efforts to address water security and extreme weather events; associated infrastructure challenges; environmental protections; open water-resources data; management of water resources and water rights; and best practices/tools/interagency engagement opportunities available to resolve conflicts.
