Tuesday, June 12th WRP Military Readiness, Homeland Security, Disaster Preparedness and Aviation (MRHSDP&A) Committee webinar featuring the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Regional Emergency Communications Coordination Working Group (RECCWG) liaisons and an opportunity to discuss communication interoperability issues and solutions sets.
Regional RECC Coordinators are located in each of the 10 FEMA regions to coordinate the establishment and administration of the RECCWGs, support the RECCWG’s efforts to meet emergency communications priorities, and help define the RECCWG’s processes to ensure that the membership is representative and meets the needs of the regional environment. Within the WRP Region, there are three FEMA Regions (Region VI which includes New Mexico; Region VIII which includes Colorado and Utah; and Region IX which includes Arizona, California and Nevada). Updates will be provided for each of these regions to highlight their respective homeland security/disaster preparedness missions to foster awareness of the interdependence among agencies and address potential issues.
