Description

You are cordially invited to the Friday, September 7th WRP Natural Resources Committee webinar on Federal Agency Planning Efforts. This webinar will run from 8 am to 10 am Pacific.

The WRP Region has 18% of the U.S. population, 19% of the U.S. land mass, considerable state, federal and Tribal lands and various land management processes. Approximately fifty percent of the land within the WRP Region is managed by a Federal agency. There are over 530 Federally listed species and diverse energy resources. These factors and the fact that many land use issues are regional means that unintended land use conflicts may occur among WRP Partners’ interests. This webinar will highlight planning efforts by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Forest Service (USFS) and US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).

The presenters for this webinar were:

  • Heather Bernier, Branch Chief, Planning & NEPA, BLM and Ms. Abbie Jossie, BLM Utah Deputy State Director for Natural Resources
  • John Rupe, Land Management Planning Specialist, Ecosystem Management Coordination, Washington Office, US Forest Service
  • Jody Holzworth, Deputy Regional Director, Pacific Southwest Region, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
